a project that aims to intervene on limitation of environmental degradation, caused by inadequate land use practices, unsustainable farming, and mismanagement of natural resources; it will adopt conservation agriculture practices for varieties of maze, groundnuts and nhemba beams in 450 peasants divided in groups in Diaca and Mbau Administrative posts of Mocímboa da Praia district in Cabo Delgado province; the project site is located in the northeast coast of Mozambique close to the southern border with Tanzania, and the region is recognized for holding significant coastal marine biodiversity, represented by more than 50 genera of terrestrial, freshwater and marine species.
