project that aims to limit unsustainable use of natural resources (forest, fish, soil and water) by local communities of Maqueze, an area rich in forest resources of miombo woodland, water streams and water pans; land degradation due to extensive farming, deforestation, grazing and soil erosion pose a threat to the environmental integrity of the region; the project will promote rational use of forest, soil, water and fish resources by local community as a measure to limit land degradation and simultaneously contribute to conservation of biodiversity and mitigation of climate change effects.
