Cultivation of medicinal plants holds a great and still not fully explored potential for fighting poverty in the Albanian countryside. Frequently, medicinal plants are hardy plants that can be cultivated on low quality soils and do not require frequent irrigation and pesticide spraying.
SGP ? Albania over the years has consolidated a scheme consists in providing the farmers for the seedlings, agronomic support and facilitating the links with buyers of the product. Based on our data (still in development) farmers can pay out the initial investment in 2-3 years and have an economically profitable cultivation of the same plant without the need for replacement for another 6-8 years.
