Reduction of land degradation rate and climate aridity by rehabilitation of tree and bush vegetation containing species included in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan in adyr zone of Kurshab Ayil Okrug Uzgen rayon
The project is addressed to the issue of deforestation in the village of Kurshab, Uzgen Rayon, Osh oblast, where during the Soviet period a large area was planted with trees which later formed a dense forest. But nowadays, after more than 20 years, the forest has only 1/4 parts from the original one because of uncontrolled use of trees as a firewood, as well as breakdown of irrigation system.
Public Foundation of "Uzgen Ecosystema" initiated to rehabilitate the former forest in the area of 50ha through planting the fruit trees which are in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, the irrigation system will also be improved by the project that will ensure the sustainability of project's life.

Capacity - Building Component
In the frame of the project there was a meeting with local population including old veterans and representatives of local administration on the importance of rehabilitation of woodland belt for the future of their generations. Additionally one consulting lecture was organized for the members of Jamaat on "Effective use of work results and marketing of products"
