Installation of solar water heaters and tree planting activities
CONTEXT:
Msandaka deaf school which has a capacity of accommodating 80 students from different parts of Kilimanjaro has no electricity except for one classroom which uses 19 computers. The rest of the school is in darkness at night during visits by Macedonia the school requested them to facilitate the installation of solar power. The government is in the process of rehabilitating the school including construction of houses for teachers. Moshi municipality has promised to collaborate with Macedonia and in protection of the solar equipments as well as follow up of implementation.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
? To install Solar heaters at Msandaka Deaf School to enable School to have a hot water and light at school
? To plant trees and fruits seedlings around the school.
OUTPUT:
? Improve student studies and environment
PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
? Purchase of solar equipments/materials for water heaters
? Installation of solar equipments.
? Planting of tree and fruit seedlings within the school compound and at the neighbor school.
? Training for two people for maintenance and repair of solar electric system.
