Conservation of medicinal plants and indigenous herbs in the middle region of the Palestinian mountains
The project aim is to conserve the indigenous and medicinal plants in the middle Palestinian mountains.
The project main activities are Equipping solar dryer with needed tools and equipment. ?the dryer was provided with solar dryer system through a project implemented with an Italian NGO COSPE?, providing 50 women coming from women cooperatives and center and local producers with medical plants. In addition to that increasing community awareness by producing ten radio programme under sponsorship of GEF on the importance of medical herbs and production of environment and biodiversity in Palestine and producing 4 radio spots in the field of environment. publishing handbook on the botanical diversity of medical plants in the project site. And Conducting 5 workshops on the importance of production of environment and biodiversity in Palestine.
