Photovolatic power plant- In Bani Zaid Water Conservation center a solar driven power plant was installed and connected to the electrical loads of the building with an electrical power of 1.72 KW and energy production of 9.3Kwh per day as an annual rate. 8 photovoltaic modules 215 w each- are the energy generator of this power plant. The produced energy is regulated through 3 charge regulators which controls the process of solar charging and electricity supply to the building?s lighting units and possibility other loads like electrical drills, TV and etc?The solar produced power is stored in 16 batteries with a total capacity exceeds 40 Kwh, that is enough to cover the electrical needs for three cloudy days.
? Solar thermal reflector: The locally produced solar reflector is a 3 m diameter, parabolic form and able to collect 5 Kw of the solar thermal radiation. It could be used for educational purposes and production of hot water for the normal human use in the building as well as to prduce to hot water for research purposes in the center for wastewater treatment.
