Coastal Management and Mangrove Conservation
Our village would like to fully establish the conservation of our coastal and mangrove ecosystem. The current problems faced by our community regarding our mangrove and coastal ecosystem includes the deterioration of the mangrove forest along the coast. Previously, our coast was densely forested with mangroves and other coastal plants however due to erosion and de-vegetation in the past our mangrove area have declined.
The main purpose of this project is to re-plant mangroves to improve the situation of our declining mangrove ecosystem that asssist in mitigating impacts of coastal erosion and other adverse effects of climate change. Also to improve the status of inshore marine resources and sea food production by a reserving area for a mud-crab farm.
