Building Capacity for the Effective Management of Protected Areas in St. Vincent and the Grenadines
This planning grant will assist the St. Vincent National Trust to lay a platform for building its capacity in protected areas management. Project activities will include the development of specific criteria for the selection of one or two ?paper parks? for active intervention; completion of a rapid assessment of the selected parks and preparation of a state of conservation report for these parks; organisation and implementation of a series of meetings with critical stakeholders, including community groups, resource users and Government officers, including at least one planning workshop; and the preparation of a Full Grant Project Proposal.
