Coastal Management and Marine Conservation
Our village of Satalo in the district of Falealili is located on the south of UpoluIsland in Samoa. It is a coastal village in which the population of about 350 - 400 people depend much on land and the sea for livelihood. Eventhough different sectors of our village (women and untitled men) perform different roles, these groups work in collaboration with decisions from our village council and representatives from these various sectors form up our Advisory Committee to oversee the initiative.
