16. Goal: Enhance livelihood situation with management of natural environmental resources.
17. Objective:
? To enhance livelihood opportunities for Traditional marine fisher folk.
? To increase income levels of the community.
? To enhance skills on post harvest methodology and livestock management
? To motivate communities towards environmental protection and policies.
? To form and strengthen self help groups

? Formation of 13 SHGs
? Enhancing skills for 13 SHGs on Post harvest management practices.

? Training on coir rope making for 80 members in two villages.
? Coir Fiber Processing
? Coir rope Preparation

Establishment of 2 coir rope making units Thamayyapalem and Thippalavalsa``
? Promotion of 2 of solar drying unit at Barripeta, Tippalavalsa clusters covering 5 panchayits
? Livelihood support to 90 fisher folk women for fish marketing.
? Awareness creation on APWALTA, Sea turtle protection and protection of water
Sources for all the 15 villages
? 4 Campaigns in all the 15 schools will be conducted on Environmental issues
? 4 Trainings will be conducted for staff in effective implementation of the project

21. Project Sustainability:
The strategy applied in the project will project facilitate the process of sustainability. The main strategy of involving the community in the project planning and implementation will help the project sustainability. The committee which is constructed with the community member will take care about the sustainability as the community will be there forever.

Project Characteristics and Results
Capacity - Building Component
The Project focuses to enhance the skills of SHGs on Post harvest managemnt practices i.e. fish processing, fish cutting, fish drying and fish marketing. Villagers will also get trained on coir rope making.
Notable Community Participation
The project ensures active participation of the community in certain exercises like participatory planning. During the project implementation SNEHA has decided to constitute a committee with community members and that committee will took active part in the implementation of the project.
