GOAL
To conserve the diversity of wild plants and to optimize its utilization as food, nutrient, and income-generating alternatives to increase community welfare

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : To identify and to promote wild plant as food alternatives and nutrient for community
Indicators : 1. executed socialization in 6 hamlets and once team coordination in a month
2. Database for plant species and its function
3. A wild plant seed banks for alternative food
4. Planted at least 8000 seeds in community land
5. Minimal 75% crops in good condition
6. Published a book with at least 500 copies
7. Printed 5 leaflets with at least 500 copies
8. Published quarterly bulletin with at least 300 copies
9. Implemented 1 wild food festival at the end of programme
Activities : 1. Socialization and coordination
It is aim to build mutual understanding regarding the program activities and to assure the community to develop further potentials.
2. Stakeholder workshop
To arrange program activities plan together with the entire Galengdowo village community component. It?s also functioned for exchanging role between stakeholder in every step of program during implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
3. Identify wild plant that useful for food
To identify edible wild plants, other than 15 species that already agreed for further development. The goals is to create a database of available wild plants in the area and what their functions are, such as ecological, economic, social and cultural function
4. Establishing seed bank
As an early form of conservation, a program was made to provide a seed bank from the wild plants development. After identified, it will be planted on community demonstration plot. Beside for the field learning, these seed bank will be developed on to yard utilization program
5. Planting
The aim is to plant potential wild plants for food in community land, plantation or forest and conducted independently by community
6. Nursery and treatment
To monitor the development of the plant and research facility for community associated to the seasonal plant so the community will have the acknowledge for the time to consumed
7. Dissemination: book publishing, leaflet, bulleting, wild food festival
a. Book publishing
a technical guidance book of wild plants around the community explaining the potential plant that will be further developed.
b. Leaflet
specifically contains the short information regarding each species with full information of nutrient content, processing and recipe that can be use by housewife and women teenager.
c. Bulletin
To spread information, to gather inputs, and to build awareness of all related stakeholders to preserve the diversity of crops and to protect the traditional knowledge and technology.
d. Wild food festival
To promote variety of traditional food from wild plants to other community to be replicated. There will be seminar and meeting, food processing contest, book launching, exhibition and other information concerning the biodiversity issue.
Objective 2 : To increase community knowledge and skills in developing wild plants species as food alternatives
Indicators : 1. Conducted a food and nutrient education to at least 25 village women participation in 4 months
2. Stakeholder workshop with at least 25 participants
3. Conducted a training with at least 20 participation
4. Field coordinator to assist community for each hamlets
Activities : 1. Food and Nutrient Studies
Village woman?s meeting to learn and share knowledge about all topics regarding Food and Nutrient and discuss problems occur related to food and nutrient to children and family
2. Workshop:
Workshop 1: utilization of sustainable natural resources to provide insight the meaning of conservation
Workshop 2: post harvest and entrepreneurship to provide knowledge how to process food materials and ways to process healthy food
3. Assistance
To document every step of project and as a means of facilitation and consultation for community groups.
Objective 3 : To preserve forest and mountain ecosystem through sustainability utilization product
Indicators : Availability of community-based income generating activities
Activities : 1. Developing conservation-based business activity and community empowerment
The aim is to give economical-additional value for community from the efforts to conserve the wild plants. The activities will provide production facilities and post-harvest management as well as prepare the market for its processed products.
Objective 4 : To develop renewable energy technology for the development of community-based income generating activities
Indicators : 1. Implemented biogas processing training with 20 people from 6 hamlets as participants
2. Existing 6 units of centre cowsheds and biogas installations in each 6 hamlets
Activities : 1. Biogas Process Training
The biogas installation is expected able to provide alternative fuel to support the production process of wild plants food processing
2. Build cowsheds centre and biogas installation
As an attempt to apply environmental-friendly energy and considering the potential of community?s livestock, then it deemed necessary to install simple biogas installation. Groups will use the biogas installation for joint purposes and processing community products.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES
1. Wild plants species are identified and publicized based on various stratification, ecosystems, and their utilization of technology and documented in wild plants database that potential for food resources alternatives along with its related knowledge and traditional technology in utilizing and processing them.
2. Community skills and knowledge are increased to develop wild plants as food alternative and to arrange community-based activities
3. The existing conserved forest and mountain ecosystem by utilizing its product in sustainable manner
4. Biogas installation facilities are available to increase community welfare
5. Existing learning media for all beneficiaries
