WECOP MOUNT MOROTO PROJECT
WECOP Mount Moroto Project aims to improve biodiversity conservation and livelihoods on the slopes of Mt. Moroto through integrated management of natural resources by enhancing restoration of the degraded banks, watersheds of Lia and Nakiloro Rivers in Kakingol, Tapac and Lia parishes, Katikekile Sub-county; establishing demonstrations for environmentally sustainable alternative income generating activities; building local capacity in best practices for biodiversity conservation; and promoting tree planting of selected valuable species (fruit, forage and medicinal trees) to restore vegetation.
