Developing Kaykab Garden Environmental Education and Resource Center
The main goal of this project was to establish an environmental resource center and to increase awareness of vital issues related to environmental sustainability through experiential learning opportunities.
Additionally, the establishment of a resource center facilitated teacher training and modeling and also provided a practical back-drop for educating the local community on environmental issues. The main areas of focus were on water use through improved containment and irrigation methods, natural gardening and plant propagation, preservation of native endangered species, and practical alternative energy options
