The project aiming at conservation of flooded forest and build understanding on the advantage of flooded forests to 900 villagers to protect 2,363 hectares of flooded forests against flooded forest fire in Rohal Suong community fisheries (CFi.), Prek Chdor, Kauk Dong, Tros, Chroy Sdau, and Poy Ta Sek community fisheries by providing training to CFi (30 Cfi members) on how to develop and implement management plan and erecting signs demarcating the forest and informing people of the rules (no hunting, smoking, etc). Six community fisheries (CFi.), 5 CFi in Banteay Mean Chey province and 1 CFi in Thmor Kaul district of Battambang province have established and legally recognized from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). In addition to that two community fisheries conservation areas, 1 Community conservation area in Banteay Mean Chey and 1community conservation in Battambang province have established to increase fish stock. A.S together with PDoFiA will disseminate the importance and objective of fisheries conservation to 900 villagers in order to build better understanding on the benefits of fisheries resources conservation.

Biodiversity Conservation and Flooded Forest Protection through Sustainable Community Fisheries Management is a subject to build understanding on advantage of flooded forests to 600 villagers to protect 2,363 hectares of flooded forests against wildfire in Rohal Suong community fisheries (CFi.), Prek Chdor, Kauk Dong, Tros, Chroy Sdau, and Poy Ta Sek community fisheries by providing training to CFi (30 Cfi members) on how to develop and implement management plan, researching and data collection on the flooded forest and create flooded forest inventory, consultation with villagers on a draft management plan, training on the benefits of flooded forest and sustainable use. disseminating information on flooded forests and their sustainable use, building the watchtowers, training fire awareness and what to do in the event of a fire, training on the benefits of flooded forest and sustainable use to villagers, quarterly reflection seminar on flooded forest fires, and erecting signs demarcating the forest and informing people of the rules (no hunting, smoking, etc).
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Six community fisheries (CFi.), 5 community fisheries in Banteay Mean Chey province and 1 community fisheries in Thmor Kaul district of Battambang province have established and legally recognized from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). Meeting with villagers to identify community fisheries members and develop CFi. bylaws and regulation will be conducted. Conference with villagers to finalize bylaws and regulation of CFi., CFi boundary, the 3-year management plan, the fisheries conservation regulation, and boundary demarcation of fisheries conservation, will be organized in collaboration with Provincial Department of Fisheries Administration (PDoFiA). Both mapping?CFi and fisheries conservation will be produced with official recognition from Fisheries Administration (FiA) and PDoFiA that coordinated by AS. Monthly meeting with CFi committee members to monitor and provide technical support will be conducted. Annual project reflection with stakeholders will be organized to find out the outcomes, impacts, and lessons learnt of the project implementation in order to improve in the next step.
