Establishment of an agro-bio diversity center to publicize eco-friendly farming practices by Women Development Foundation
Andarawewa community consists of 266 families, their main livelihood is paddy farming. It is observed that people suffer with financial difficulties mainly due to lack of income from paddy cultivation. They have to spend lot of money on agro-chemicals and fertilizers and at the same time they are not getting a proper selling price for the production. This project proposes to address the above identified problems and stabilize the economical conditions of the villages. Proposes to establish 100 eco friendly home gardens and 10 acres paddy. Establishment of a training center for eco friendly farming. Developing livelihood streams with nature products.
