This project has been specially designed to implement one of the key conservation strategies of the ?Marine Turtle Conservation and Action Plan for the Northern Indian Ocean? which was prepared by the IUCN with regional experts. Proposes In situ Protection of all sea turtle nests laid within the project boundary to release the hatchlings to the sea naturally and convert turtle egg poachers in to conservationists by employing them as turtle nest protectors. To provide alternate livelihoods as turtle tourist guides, batik producers etc. Increase education & awareness on marine & coastal resources among the schoolchildren and establish an active environmental youth club.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Awareness on marine and coastal ecosystem conservation among community members is to be improved through informal lectures, film shows, field trips, sign boards, leaflets, booklets and posters.
Capacity - Building Component
Capacity building will be done withe all relevant ares of the project enabling the involved communities to highly successful in whatever the things they do.
