Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Initially the tank was supposed to have a 100m3 capacity. Due to a significant increase in community co-financing, its capacity increased to 124 m3. Direct beneficiaries which were supposed to have access to 3.1 m3 of water on average, will get 4.1m3 on average.
Notable Community Participation
Ribeirão Boi community members provided land to build the 100 m3 water tank, and resources to build an access way to the main road.
