Despite unfavourable weather conditions the project was successfully completed. In the protected bird areas Senne and Zitavsky luh has been mowed a total of 242 hectares of meadows where was subsequently introduced extensive model of management designed to ensure the protection and restoration of a biological diversity of the grassland ecosystems. Removing the biomass helped to create the right conditions for development of traditional grassland communities. However, the farmers profited as well, they had an access to healthy organic hay and local population could use cheap and environmentally friendly pellets and briquettes for heating their homes.
