Rural Erosion Control Through Environment Friendly, Sustainable Farming and Cultural Practices.
To inculcate among the rural populace, sustainable farming practices centered on environmental conservation and preservation through behavioral change. The project is expected to reorient the rural peasant farmers from some unfriendly farming practices that degrade their environment and further impoverish their lives. -Advocacy centers on relationship building, exploring and prioritizing community concerns. -Training/capacity building; development of low literate friendly IEC material on environmental friendly practices. Enhancement of cultural erosion preventive and control strategies such as construction bond across flood run off way/ pond for collection of flood water.- Community mobilization/ sensitization to embrace the innovative strategies in curbing the menace of erosion.
