ADVOCACY FOR FUEL EFFICIENT WOODSTOVES IN EREDO LOCAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF LAGOS STATE
Wood felling for cooking and other household uses is creating a lot of adverse effect on the biodiversity. Hence, the need to arrest the situation before it becomes irreversible. To addressing this problem, this project intends to increase the knowledge of community members on the impact of climate change and forest resource depletion and also to foster the use of energy efficient woodstoves as alternative to traditional open-fire cooking method. This project is related to Lagos State Government reforestation advocacy campaign in schools. The project intends to build capacity of the local men and women on the efficient use of improved woodstoves technologies in Eredo Local Development Council Area; create public awareness on renewable energy technologies and build local adaptation awareness. To contribute to reduction in loss of biodiversity, green house gasses emission and enhancing the quality of life in Eredo Local Development Council Area of Lagos State
