Reservation and rehabilitation of the Kuruksay relic forest stands
The project is supported to develop a project proposal on rehabilitation, protection and further expansion of remaining relict pistachio forest stands around Kuruksay village in Kashkadarya province. The result of the project will be a developed project application, engaged villagers and prepared ground for an SGP project.

As in almost all cases, we understand that environment can be appreciated by local people if it generates income. The project idea is to persuade local people that pistachio creating and protecting plantations is a long term investment that will provide solid income for the community households long ahead in future.
