Sustainable Use of Bamboo
The project is expected to improve livelihood of highland farmers in the propose location through promoting bamboo handicraft through market oriented products development while protecting and using bamboo in sustainable maner as well as protect the waterhead forest for the down stream villages. I have called to project proponent, the agency is working out in identifying appropriate proponent and revision of project objectives, expected results and activities.

Capacity - Building Component
Laotheung ethnic in Lao PDR have basic skill for bamboo weaving, the raining is very important to encourage their labor skill what contribute market where pushing their activity sustainable. The training for gender equality encourage ethnic people mainly men to participate the activities to develop their living in family.
Gender Focus
Local women participate the project nearly 50 % village women unions share members to be trainers for continue training to villagers. This project encourage gender equality by support men active to care family by through the handicraft activity what can earn income for family .
