Enhancing knowledge Managment Initiative through experiential exchanges
It is proposed to have two workshops as mentioned below:

1. First Workshop in partnership with Earth Charter, in which SGP will have a parallel session on Ethical Framework for a Sustainable World. I have attached the Background and Agenda for your perusal. This will be held from Nov 1st to Nov 3rd 2010. We shall be co-financing this workshop for 4484 USD from the balance grants.

2. The Second Workshop will be held on Dec 10 to Dec 13 2010. This workshop will be in partnership with International Geographical Union, Commonly referred to as IGU, is an international non ?governmental, non ? profit scientific organization. It promotes meetings of the International Geographical Union, regional conferences between IGU Congresses and other meetings in furtherance of the objectives of the Union.. The International Geographical Union adheres to the International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU) and the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and recognizes them as coordinating bodies for the international organization of Science.. We shall be co-financing this for USD 4056 from the balance grants.

Capacity - Building Component
Capacity Building / training was done for the participants of the workshops , participates who volunteered to conduct the farmer - surveys were trained in the basic issues related to the use of POPs and other toxic chemicals in Indian agriculture and the currently available alternatives.

the main focus of the program is to train the the weaker male and female farmers and building the capacity of these people by various training programs
