Practicing Agro-forestry in the surrounding of Mbandaka city
The project is aiming to reverse soil and forest degradation on an area of 15 hectares to be owned by 60 farmers. Caterpillars? bearings trees that have been cut down for charcoal needs will be considered for reforestation.
At the end of 24 months of project implementation duration, the expected increase in soil fertility and crop yields will increase household income decreasing thus far the carbonization need.
