Training of Trainers to communities on Forest management, Improved Traditional Stove and Nutrition
Project location is in Adi-tekelezan Sub-zone of Anseba Region, where 60% of SGP projects are geographically clustered. The project aims at training of trainers (TOT) to communities on forest management, making of improved traditional stoves, and nutritional advices including environment sensitization activities to bridge the current gap of skilled workers relevant to SGP works of afforestation, energy saving stoves, nutrition including sensitization activities in Adi-tekelezan area.
Training will include the components:
? Forest management including: Seed/tree collection and handling, nursery; management, planting technique and demonstrating different propagation techniques;
? Improved local stove making, installation, and maintenance;
? Moringa tree food preparation, preservation and nutrition;
? Communities? sensitization activities
The immediate objective of the project is to ensure the availability of skilled workers relevant to SGP/Eritrea activities. The participants are comprised of active community members, green club school members, and CBOs participating in rural afforestation programmes.
The long term objective of the project is to ensure the sustainability of environmental works in the area through the continual availability of skilled manpower.
