- The project collected and disseminated information on the state of ichthyofauna in Hrinytske water reserve. The study found that the reservoir?s ichthyofauna includes 27 fish species.
- Environmental monitoring of the reservoir ecosystem was conducted to identify key anthropogenic action drivers. The project experts concluded that recovery of the ecosystem would be helped by stocking of the pond with vanishing fish species such as carp, silver carp, grass carp, etc.
- The reservoir was stocked in its upper, middle and lower parts, which supported recovery of vanishing fish species and the pond?s ecosystem as a whole. The total fish stocking material quantity was 3,000 kg. Stocking was performed with 3 polycultures: carp, silver carp and grass carp.
- Three workshops were held for the local community, involving the region?s leading scientists, on the following subjects: ? Hrinytske water reserve fauna?, ?Ways of recovering Hrinytske water reserve ichthyofauna?, and ? Hrinytske water reserve?.
- A number of booklets and other information briefing materials on the state and recovery prospects of the Hrinytske water reserve ecosystem were published.
- During the project implementation, partner relations were established with the ?Protection and reproduction of natural resources? scientific research laboratory, Ekotyzhden newspaper, and 8 non-governmental organizations.
- The project involved 20 volunteers assisting in information collection and reservoir stocking.
