Establishment of the renewable energy sources and technologies Center in CBO Nazarkhan
The project focuses on establishment and equipping a center in Nazarkhan village, which will be producing various energy efficient and energy producing devices. Among them are individual biogas sets, energy efficient stoves for cooking and heating, briquette making machines, etc. Apart from saving energy and cutting GHGs emissions into the atmosphere, the center will help conserving nearby riverine tugai forests, which are used extensively by local people for fire wood.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Local people of the village constantly spend a significant amount of money for buying fire wood for heating in cold times, and for cooking all year long. Otherwise, they spend much of their time on collecting wood, which also deprive them from using this time more effectively on other activities. Plus, in many cases women are handling wood collection. establishment of the center will help people to save wood fuel thus cutting their money and time expenses.
Notable Community Participation
The project is initiated by a local master, who wants to produce energy efficient devices for the community and make it a small business. All community is involved as the community council gave premises for the this production center, community members will be the primary buyers of the produced equipment.
