During the project the outside walls of the building of elementary school in Vranov nad Toplou were insulated, roof sheet was exchanged and the leaky pipes on the building were fixed. Furthermore, the electrical box was modified, loop holes were sealed with polyurethane foam, window sills were repaired, a part of concrete sidewalk was removed as well as a part of asphalt pavement. Heating system and heat pump were put into the operation and the school personnel have been trained on how to operate them.
School?s teaching staff prepared and implemented environmental education programmes based on interactive learning where the teachers and students familiarized themselves with the website of the energy company, where the electric power is required, how it is produced and how we can save the energy, where and how we can use the alternative sources and why is it more friendly to the environment.
