Development of PICO hydro to generate electrical power at Tapang Pungga Longhouse in Sarawak using existing stand-alone water supply and longhouse elevation head opportunities.
This planning grant is for the purpose of conducting a feasibility study on the potential of developing a community-based pico hydro-system in the longhouse at Tapang Pungga that aims to address rural electrification through renewable energy by utilizing natural resources and raising environmental awareness of the rural longhouse people while reducing dependence on fossil fuel for power at night.
