Sensitization of students on climate change and its adverse effects
The project aimed to enhance the understanding of students on climate change issues and its adverse effects on agriculture, fisheries, forestry, woodland ecosystems, health, rangelands, livestock and water resources. As a youthful audience, students are major players in promoting understanding the phenomena of climate change and its impacts on communities. The impacts of the project are expected to be long lasting and fostering a greater of its effects can play a major role in bringing about changes in behaviours and coping strategies by this younger generation.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
As a way of sustaining the project, environmental clubs were established in each of the 2 schools in the project area. The clubs were given basic training and modest support and linkages established with potential partners
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The project sought to promote public awareness on climate change and its adverse impacts on communities. The knowledge acquired by the students would be spread by the environmental clubs established among their respective communities.
