The NGO and partners at the local government level will be working to increase the capacity of the various stakeholder groups; youth, farmers, the citizens association, church group in increasing their understanding of climate change and its impacts on their community and strategies to cope. Additionally groups will do training in better land husbandry techniques (alley cropping, live barriers, check dams, and trenches) to reduce environmental degradation

The NGO will be working with various groups improving their understanding of the environment, including school

The project will be utilizing soil conservation techniques to reduce soil loss which include the use of cover cropping. The trees and shrubs that will be used will yield economic benefits to the farmers

The project will be working with a group of indigenous people in one of the target areas, Charles Town. This group is descendants of the Maroon people who were slaves that escaped the rule of the Colonizers in Jamaica. Consequently they are governed by there own governance system and still have African retentions evident.

The project will seek to influence policy in advocating for the lessons learnt to be incorporated into farmers manual to guide farmers on how to use the techniques in the project to address soil erosion issues.
