Conservação para uma Melhor Sustentabilidade da AMP de Santa Luzia, Ilhéus Branco e Raso
Conservação para uma Melhor Sustentabilidade da AMP de Santa Luzia, Ilhéus Branco e Raso
This project aims to address sustainable management of resources on the Santa Luzia, Branco and Raso Islets Marine Protected Area (MPA). Key activities will be carried out to involve local fishermen and other key stakeholders.
Information on the current MPA management plan will be disseminated, and consultation meetings with government agencies will be organized. Two main studies will be promoted to assess socioeconomic impact of current MPA management rules, and lack of surveillance on resources. These activities will increase knowledge base of key actors, strengthen capacities, and enhance the co-management ongoing process.
