Reviving Natural Silk Industry in Sheikh Bader
The suggested project aims to protect local biodiversity of mulberry trees by encouraging natural silk industry which will require expansion in plantation of mulberry trees.
Rural families will be encouraged and trained on raising silk worms, producing and manufacturing natural silk, providing an incentive for planting more mulberry trees.

the project managed to establish a community workshop for silk handmade products which was marketed in nearby cities and markets. the local production is receiving a lot of attention on formal and public level and currently creating a steady income for project participants.
