To date there is not a single nursery in the country at any one of the national parks. This project aims to introduce three endangered forest nurseries in the National Park of Cufada, managed by the local population and with also commercial purposes. In addition to ensuring the stock of seedlings, three villages will benefiting from income earned in the marketing of plants.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Throughout the country regression of the forest is growing. The cutting of trees is done by three main reasons: (i) for rice cultivation fields that are productive for only two years; (ii) for field cultivation of cashew orchards; (iii) for logging from national companies who give the licenses cutting to chinese operators.The demand for forest plants is growing in the country and national nurseries are not able to sustain demand.
