The inhabitants of five villages of the Cufada National Park, will benefit from training for the construction of improved stoves. This stoves consume less firewood than the traditional (three stones), reducing wood consumption. A cash credit for small income-generating activities will be available for women who built and adopted the improved stove successfully.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The housing credit introduced will be used to increase the flow capacity and production for sale of foods such as palm oil and beans. The villages of the park, like most of the vilages in the country, depends on the harvest of forest products and agricultural production for consumption and sale.
