The project proponent attended SGP stakeholders workshop in Thalath Vientiane Capital. The meeting include planing and discussion on forest management and protection. Activities yet to be completed are training on project management, studying cave ecosystem for potential eco-tourism attribute, a study tour for exchanging knowledge on eco-tourism management in the forest protection area of Nam nor and Phongnga-Kaebang. The project considered participatory community approach by rendering opportunity to villagers to give their valuable opinion and participate well in project project activities. Capacity development is the project emphasis by building their capacity to form new livelihood scheme and promote income generating to families to improve their lives. The project considered women participation a priority in the community development coupled with awareness on environmental issues and conservation of natural resources.
