Color Dyeing Promotion and Rehabilitation
It is obvious that natural dying material within garment industry both internal and external is highly stipulated. The harvesting gears of natural coulor plants to supply the needs are also way leading the unsustainable management by community. The existing community common forest surrounding Nasaonang village is one of most important source of natural color dyeing clothes produce by many communities in Sangthong district, Vientiane Capital. In addition, the weaving activities/movement in this village is the value adding of households? economic improvement and continuation of Nasaonang community in natural dyeing is important for the local market on natural color clothes/materials and may become one of best practice in conservation of existing community forest.

Policy Influence
By promoting the propagation of natural colour dyeing to the village as model project and with the close involvement of the district officials. The project will, in the future, influence policy making at district level by endorsing zero chemical use in handicraft products on the district of Sangthong which also promote long term sustainable livelihood. The project will also strengthen environmental policies that will focus on the conservation forest landscape and native natural colour plant species.
Project sustainability
Since land degradation and threat of destructive farming is every present in this district. The initial positive impacts of the project by growing of natural colour plants species in communal areas will be the elimination of over-harvesting and complete eradication of this commercial valuable plant species.
