Project Characteristics and Results
Capacity - Building Component
A detailed updated survey report of the Pigeon Island marine National Park will be prepared. This report will be shared with the relevant parties involved in conservation in the area. Awareness created among the general public including school children, fishing community, business community and the tourists will help to conserve the marine national park
Notable Community Participation
The participation of tourist boad operators, shallow water fisherman, divers and tour guides, tourist hotel owners and volunteers working with the Department of Wildlife Conservation. These groups will be involved in the project plannin and design, implmentation and monitoring
