Promote community-based sustainable land management best practices through establishment of 3 demo-plots in three communes of Jilikul district
The main goal of the project is to increase production, improve land-use and enhance the local capacities of 15 local farms through demonstration of the alternative and sustainable land management practices and techniques. The project activities will be undertaken in Navzamin, Garouti, Gardi Gulmurodov jamoats of Jilikul district.Project activities:To raise the awareness and enhance capacity of local communities live and work within 15 local farms command areas, on alternative and sustainable land management practices and techniques;
2.In close cooperation with project stakeholders and partners, committee of environment protection, district agriculture department, Association of local Farmers ?Itifok?, and other sector specialists undertake survey, data collection and analysis to indentify the most vulnerable farms in terms of degraded land (waterlogging, salinization), very low production scale, lack of irrigation water and other necessary information on new and alternative land farming, SLM, and agriculture development. 3.To establish 3 demonstrational pilot areas within 3 local farms that will serve 15 local farms to share information and enhance the local capacity on SLM, alternative land farming, etc. 4.Joint assessment of the project results and widespread of the SLM best practices, sustainable agriculture and alternative land-use and production using the mass media, TV, radio and other means of communication.
