The overall objective of the project is to ensure / maintain a favorable conservation status of the Natura 2000 site "Bazinul Ciucului de Jos (Lower Basin of Ciuc River)" and of the Protected Natural Reserve "Piatra Soimului (The Hawk?s Rock)", especially the species / habitats of global and local interest, by: (i) enforcing special conservation measures and improving communication between stakeholders; (ii) promoting sustainable use of natural resources and encouraging private initiatives in eco-tourism development as an alternative income generating activity for local community. Specific information campaigns will be carried out to promote biodiversity conservation, to increase the respect for its values, to incorporate the cultural and traditional values of the region.
