GOAL
The establishment of participatory planning as part of process to conserve protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people, Bulungan District, East Kalimantan.
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Collecting data and information on social, economical, and biodiversity condition
Indicator : 1. Existing data and information on social, economical, and biodiversity condition
2. Existing data of potential stakeholders (such as community, non-governmental organization, academic institution, local government)
Activities : 1. Community Assessment
2. Producing audio visual/film documentation
Objective 2 : Conducting participatory planning for protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people
Indicator : 1. Existing participatory planning for protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people
2. Existing proposal as development from the participatory planning for protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people
Activities : 1. Conducting workshop preparation
2. Writing the proposal
EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. Existing data and information on social, economical, and biodiversity condition
2. Existing data of potential stakeholders (such as community, non-governmental organization, academic institution, local government) that will implement and support protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people
3. Existing participatory planning for protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people
4. Existing proposal as development from the participatory planning for protected forest as community-based areas for biodiversity and water catchment conservations for Pura Sajau indigenous people
Participants and/or Project Beneficiaries
Direct : 1. 153 people of Dayak Kayan Pura Sajau indigenous people
2. 515 people of mixed ethnic group
Indirect : Local governments such as the Forestry Service, and Environment Management Agency; encourage sustainable forest management practices (other potential stakeholders to be involved will be identified during the activity takes place)
