Senjoyo Spring Sustainable Management by Involving Youth Group Communities
GOAL
Senjoyo spring is preserved because of the strengthened conservation in Tajuk Village, Getasan sub-District, Semarang District

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Good and maintained condition of Senjoyo Spring
Indicator : 1. The water debit in Senjoyo will not decrease for the next five years
2. There is a Memorandum of Agreements between stakeholders involved in Senjoyo Spring
3. Existing model for proportional management of Senjoyo Spring
Activities : 1. Collecting data and aspiration from community and local government officers in Tegalwaton Village
2. Meeting to formulate village regulation and submission to the government.
3. Increasing capacity of individuals, supporting organization, and community by having the following trainings:
a. Capacity building for life skill and professional skill for volunteers: simple administrative training.
b. Training for data and aspiration collection from community and local government officers for village regulation formulation

Objective 2 : Strengthening conservation in Tajuk Village as Water Catchment Area in Senjoyo Spring
Indicator : 1. Increasing number and types of conservation plant in Water Catchment Area in Senjoyo Spring
2. Water users participate in the conservation
3. Establishing seeding center as provider for good quality conservation plant seeds
Activities : 1. Planting, maintaining, and monitoring conservation plants for the spring and the endemic plants of Merbabu Mountain
2. Establishing the seeding center for conservation plants and endemic plants of Merbabu Mountain.
The center will become the seeds provider for the plants to be planted in Merbabu Mountain area especially, and in water catchment area in general. The Seeding Center will be merged with the ?Tunas Kridha Bhakti? Youth Secretariat in Pulihan Hamlet, Tajuk Village, Getasan sub-District, Semarang District,
3. Increasing capacity of individuals, supporting organization, and community by having the following trainings:
a. Capacity building for life skill and professional skill for volunteers: training for plantation, maintenance, and monitoring conservation plants for the spring and the endemic plants of Merbabu Mountain
b. Training on simple and participatory communal business management

Objective 3 : TUK community is able to support and strengthen the publication and media strategy needed to disseminate information and to build network in achieving the above objectives
Indicator : 1. Stakeholders are involved in implementing the entire activities as planned and took part in maintaining the follow up of TUK community working network
2. The entire stakeholders involved in the programme and activities developed by TUK are able to understand the similar scheme
Activities : 1. Developing the 4LIFE merchandise business. This business is a fundraising scheme initiated since the establishment of TUK community. The development of this business will emphasize on products with selling quality, has aesthetical value, unique, and has high quality utilization value. The business will be the answer for both individual and organizational.
2. FMA (Festival Mata Air/Spring Festival) V. TUK community has conducted the festivals four times for the past four years in 2006-2009. After the last festival, several meeting has been made to follow up for the next FMA V which will include:
3. ?Clean Up the World? International Action Forum (on the 3rd week of September 2012) as the pre-event for FMA 5.
4. International-scale environment forum: Tipping Point Indonesia (will seek for support from Tipping Point Australia, UK, and New York)
5. Film screening on environment issue and also documentation of environmentally sound activities in various level: local, regional, and international of TUK community networks
6. Local culture performance: traditional dances, rituals, etc.
7. Music performance
8. Theatre performance
9. Recycle installation and exhibition
10. Socialization, activities, and community-based management system. Increasing capacity of individuals, supporting organization, and community by having the following trainings:
a. Capacity building for life skill and professional skill for volunteers: communication and information technology training
b. Training on simple and participatory communal business management

EXPECTED OUTPUT

1. Existing Village Regulation of Tegalwaton Village regarding Senjoyo Spring Management
2. Communication network between stakeholders involved in the conservation and maintenance of Senjoyo Spring
3. Independency of all stakeholders in the end of the programme
4. Existing Village Regulation and Village conservation as water catchment area.
