"Protection of nature and pasture” and “Increasing plant species and improving pasture by fencing"
The herder groups, namely Nukht and Virtuous Herd agreed to act as equal partner implementers under this project will carry out activities to combat soil erosion, land pasture degradation in their respective locations and put solid foundations for their continued future actions against adverse climate change effects and desertification in Buren sum by starting with fencing some degraded pasture land to support natural re-generation of grasses and planting fruit and other drought resistant trees to further create and experience silvo-pasture.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The area with a spring-well could become a citizens' protected area. Since the project proponents have decided to build a fence, the NSC members suggested planting trees such as Lucerne and protection stripes within the fence.
