Protection of community forests and building of watchtower
The CBO intends to carry out some initial or start up activities directed to enhancing the capacity of the community that experiences community forestry practice in Bat-Ulziit soum of Uvurhangai province by building a watch tower to monitor frequently occurring wild fires in their possessed forest areas and establishing a tiny sea buckthorn dominated community fruit grove as an income-generating source for the community to enhance their resilience to climate change effects.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The project intends to protect a large area of forest possessed by the community from wild forest fires that occur almost every year. A watchtower is needed to monitor the entire area. At the same time the community is intended to develop community forestry practice as it must be like.
