Protection and restoration of forest
CBO will practice and develop a community forestry within 10 hectares of their possessed willow forest in the right bank of Haraa river near Orhon sum centre by implementing tree planting and demonstration activities to establish a community fruit grove alone with tiny tree nursery as an alternative income-generating source to further support their livelihoods and forest rehabilitation activities for community members.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The NSC members supported the project in view of the fact that the CBO has experience in running agriculture since 1990 and has also a small sized irrigation system /facilities/ to support the grant from their side. The project is to develop community forestry practices in a riverside willow forest place in the Orhon section of Haraa river by first establishing a community livelihood support grove of fruit trees and green belts around.
