Rehabilitation of Kisokwe spring and its wells at Ruwa
CONTEXT
Ruwa village is the last village before reaching the half mile strip area; the village has a number of springs which are used by the community. This spring?s also give the village challenge on the roads as there is a need of culverts in many places. Once the culverts are not well placed the community face water problem as the water becomes turbid for domestic use.
PROJECT PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
? To reduce water loss from the spring into the well before reaching the community.
? To increase number of people who can access clean water from the well.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE:
During the repair a lot of stoned will be removed thus it will make available stones and building materials available for the community
To reduce tree cutting from the natural forest for building as the stone and available soil will replace the use of trees
It will increase community income to pay for their school fee.

Gender focus was there as clean and safe drinking water is done by women thus cause a burden of womenfolks.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
I wonder. Our people got poorer and poorer recently. They only concern is just to live and to educate their chilren. They think the care of global environment is rather the job of the rich people who anyhow live too comfortably at the expense of simple folks.
