Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
According to a scientific survey, there are over 330 rare medical plants growing in the 6,625-hectare area owned by the CBO. There have been several forest fires in the recent years due to the illegal logging of young trees and bushes, as well as other adverse human activity. The NSC members supported the CBO?s proposal to develop a tea and tree nursery area under the project with a view to improving the livelihood of its members and restoring the community forest.
