This project is designed to promote sustainable Environmental Management and Alternative Livelihood for Widows in Kafanchan, Jema?a Local Government and will employ a multi-dimensional project management system to enhance the livelihood of 150 widows. Project activities include building capacity for alternative income generating lifestyles using the sustainable forest products like Shea Trees/Butter, Rain Water Harvesting, Planting of Economic Trees, Afforestation, Composting, secure stakeholder commitment to define the scope of carbon building in Jemaa Local Government, promote awareness about biodiversity conservation and climate change and develop Community Leadership and Peace building Skills for Widows and rural women farmers.
