Demonstration of integrated use of solar energy to ensure the bath and laundry complex with hot water in the orphanage in Issyk settlement, Enbekshikazakh district, Almaty area
Project aim:
Demonstration of solar energy complex use possibilities for the water heating to provide laundry complex and nutrition unit of Children?s home of Enbekshikazakh region with hot water (with replacement of organic fuel and traditional energy sources with solar energy)
Project tasks:
- Provide sustainable autonomous hot water supply to Children?s home of Enbekshikazakh region by installation of solar water heaters for babies bathing and support of uninterrupted laundering and cooking
- Promote success experience of solar collectors? systems use for hot water supply in Esik city among wide population sectors of Enbekshikazakh region and other potential users of solar systems in Almaty area of the Republic
Project results:
- Installed water heaters allow decrease emissions from fuel burning on water heating
- Two new technologies introduced in Esik city to demonstrate advantages of solar energy use instead of traditional ones: first is getting water hot from solar collectors and second one is electronic control of these collectors? work and possibility of combination of solar energy and electric heating
- Lump sum of energy services for people from project realizing compile 11376 US $. Spent for public education, rising awareness and capacity building 2600 $ US.
- Decreased costs for energy, increased working conditions, especially for women who are 95% of Children?s home?s employees that leads to decreasing of sickness rate
